CBA has had an exciting first month of classes! We welcome all new students into the school and hope that they are adjusting well. We ask that all dancers wear the leotard color of their class level and their own ballet, tap or jazz shoes. we are experiencing significant delays in receiving product, thank you for your patience.
The studio will be open for classes on Indigenous People’s Day, Monday, October 11th. A reminder that tuition is due the first of each month, and should be remitted by the tenth of the month. A late fee of $10 will be added after Oct. 10th. If you would like to avoid late fees, be sure to fill out a form for Recurring Payment. The form is available on our website HERE. Auditions for the 2021 production of Nutcracker In A Nutshell will be held Sunday, October 17th. ALL students interested in performing must audition, (no exceptions), at the designated time for their level. Please note that Pre-Ballet I and II students may apply to perform as Mice, but will not be auditioned this year, in order to socially distance. All parents must comply to the schedule below, by keeping the dancers safe and the lobby free of overcrowding. Ensemble members need not audition, but must submit completed application by Oct. 17th – Junior Ensemble members that fit into the above categories, must audition. Application: https://forms.gle/GGauNMVLEgZ5L3Fh8 Performance Fee: https://swipesimple.com/links/lnk_994cd167 UPCOMING BAE PERFORMANCES: ANNUAL FALL DANCE CONCERT The Ballet Arts Ensemble of Fairfax will present Fall Dance Concert 2021 on Sunday, October 24th at 3:00 p.m. The performance will be held at the Ernst Community Cultural Center at the NOVA, Annandale Campus, 8333 Little River Turnpike. We hope that all of you will come out in support of all the hard working, young dancers of The Ballet Arts Ensemble. Shostakovich Jazz Suite, Odalisques Pas de Trois from Le Corsair and Rags by Richard Rholdon and Sarabandipity by Debra Savage will be among pieces presented. Summer Guest Choreographer, Lexi Firestone will premiere her exceptional new work When Music Speaks. Tickets will be available at the studio - $20 ($25 at the door.) From Monday, Oct. 25th through Saturday, Oct. 30th, CBA dancers may come to class in Halloween costumes. Wear something easy to dance in, please! A BAE Halloween Costume party will be held at the studio on Saturday, October 30th from 6:30-8:00p.m. All BAE, Jr. Ensemble members and Apprentices are invited!
