Rehearsals are underway for Concert 2023, featuring Snow White. Please check the April Rehearsal Schedule for details. Ballet IB through Advanced Levels will perform in both shows on June 17th and 18th.
Final casting for the performances will be available through the Studio Scoop. Tickets go on sale on-line on Sunday, May 7th at 10:00 a.m. All seats are $22 on-line and will be $25 at the door. Families with children performing in the 1st Act only (Snow White), may reserve a complimentary ticket for the dancer, when ordering tickets.
Young Students performing in Snow White should expect to anticipate Saturday rehearsals coming up in April and May. Full Run-thru Rehearsals will be held on Saturday, June 3rd (Cast A) and Saturday, June 10th (Cast B). Attendance is mandatory.
Costume balances have now been sent out by invoice. Costumes will be sent home once the balance has been paid. Please note that costume balances are NOT resolved by Auto-pay, they must be authorized personally. We will appreciate payments made ahead of the due date, in order to create space for more costume orders arriving in April and May!
GEORGIA STATE BALLET
CBA/ BAE students are encouraged to attend the performance of Georgia State Ballet at GMU on Saturday, April 15th at 8:00 p.m. CBA has acquired a group rate of $51/ Adults, $30/Students (which is 15 % discount for Adults and half price for students. Please purchase tickets at the front desk.
SUMMER AT CBA
CBA will offer a fully Intensive Summer Program for four weeks - July 10th through August 5th. We are excited to announce that Justin Rustle, former dancer with Bowen McCauley Dance Co. will be teaching Int. and Adv./Int levels of ballet and modern classes this summer. We are also happy to bring back Choreographic Workshops and to provide Pas de Deux class for Int. and Adv./Int. Pointe dancers. Be reminded that all students interested in joining or continuing as members of the BAE (or Intensive Camps A and B) must attend a minimum of four weeks, or Ballet Arts Junior Ensemble, a minimum of three weeks of Summer Intensive (four is preferred.) Students interested in performing with the Tap and Jazz Ensemble should sign-up/note their plan to attend BATJE rehearsals. Jazz is now required for all BATJE members; tap is encouraged but optional.
Children’s Dance Camps are available for children ages 3 through 12. Camps are 2 to 3 ½ hours long, depending on the age level. It is suggested that Ballet IIC students prepare for beginning Pre-Pointe in the fall, by attending Summer Intensive Camp E. Pointe students should continue training in the summer by attending Summer Intensive Camps B, C, D. Feel free to contact the front desk regarding Summer Camp placements for you CBA dancer. Registration begins Monday, April 10th.
